Jaeson is a junior at Post Falls High School in North Idaho, where he has played varsity golf since his freshman year. Carrying a 5 handicap, he has grown up on the courses around Post Falls — Prairie Falls, Avondale, and Highlands GC — learning to score in the wind, rain, and short seasons that come with golf in the Inland Northwest.

[Background story — draft: when he started playing, who introduced him to the game, the moments that made golf his sport, and the practice routine behind his progress. Family to personalize.]

Off the course, Jaeson is a full-time student at Post Falls and documents the journey — practice, tournaments, and campus visits — on Instagram at @jaesoffthetee.

The Goal

Aspirations
  1. 1

Earn a Division I roster spot

The target for the Class of 2028: find the program — conference, coaching staff, and school — where he fits and can compete for a lineup spot.

  2. 2

    Contribute at the college level

Arrive ready to help a team: a dependable scorer in qualifying, a good teammate in the travel squad, and a student who handles the classroom side.

  3. 3

    Pursue professional golf

The long-term dream after college — keep developing through the amateur and college ranks and take a run at playing the game for a living.

The work behind it

  • Structured practice — range and short-game sessions built around school and the high school season.
  • Academics first — grades that keep every college door open, not just the golf ones.
  • Tournament reps — a full summer schedule of junior events across Idaho and Washington (see the timeline below) to build a résumé coaches can evaluate.
